Hey guys
i wanted to know this, if i upgrade my system from home to PRO, will all my files be intact ? and my programs, does the OS only upgrade or does it like format the hard drive off as well ?
thanks

You probably will not lose anything .. but be safe & copy your personal data files just in case

I did that with my laptop went from Home to Pro, I made sure to back up my files which turned out to be unncessary(sp?) and it went flawlessly. Just make sure you go from SP2 --> SP2 or SP1 --> SP2 not SP2 --> SP1 theres a potential for some issues

there shouldn't be any problem. easiest thing i do, is to partition my drive in to two partitions: a 20 one for Windows (which i can reformat easily without affecting the other partition) and 60 on (54.5 to be exact) for my docs. i want to format, reinstall, upgrade, anything, it doesn't touch all my documents which are on E: i also changed the My Documents root to E.
