upgrading from an old 6800 gs

so yeah, i'm not so much with the times, i just upgraded my old crt for an lcd, so i'm starting to see a bit of what i've been missing.

my setup (old amd single core 64 3000, 1 gig of ram) is kind of choking with all this high res stuff the new monitor can do though, and was hoping maybe a new video card would help some, though looking through newegg i have no idea what's what.

i just want something that can play 1080p videos and a bit of warcraft, under 100 bucks and preferably nvidia, if doable.

Well looking at newegg the only AGP video card worth a damn are 3650s and 4650s/70s anything older than that I would not consider i'm not even sure if the 7300GT that they do have can do any kind of video acceleration. But really your problem is the whole system a single core cpu and especially 1 gig of ram is just not going to cut it.

You'll likely want to just do a full upgrade, as the rest of your system would just bottleneck any new video card you'd purchase.

But if you wanted to get the video card first and upgrade later...I'm assuming PCI-express here...
