upgrading from a Radeon X1950Pro to the Radeon HD 3870

I'm thinking about upgrading from a Radeon X1950Pro to the Radeon HD 3870. Does anyone know the differences in terms of gaming performance, heat, and sound - with stock cooling for both?

Should be a big difference, I went from a x1950Pro 256 to a 8800GT 512 and it was a very nice upgrade. Sound wise the x1950Pro was more loud at idle and under load, also it was a built by ATi card.
