I already have the Terratec DMX 6Fire 24/96 Audio Card with the Cambridge MegaWorks 510D speakers and a 19" Trinitron from Hitachi. I also have a mouse and keyboard that work great. Right now I have a PII400 with 384 PC100 SDRAM, a Geforce2MX and a 10GB IBM HD. I'm hoping for a huge speed increase with the following:

  •
CPU: P4/2.4BGHz 533 (Hopefully a C1)

Case: Lian Li PC65 "Plus" from pcmod.com

MotherBoard: 845PE 9EJS1-ZENITH CHAINTECH

Vid Card: ATI RADEON 9500PRO 128M DDR DVI

PS: ANTEC TrueBLUE 480Watt

Ram: 512MB Corsair XMS PC-3500C2

HD 2 Western Digital 120 Gig 8MB-Cache

CDRW 52x24x52 LITE ON

DVD LITE ON 16X LTD-166S

HS/Fan Alpha PAL8942T and Panaflo 32dBa 39Cfm 80MM fan

Case fans 4 Antec 80x80x25 w/ Blue LED

    Total Bill: $1550 with shipping
I really didn't want to go over $1500, but its not the end of the world. How does it look to you?

Looks good :)

I myself am sitting on a PII 400 with 256meg ram. Windows XP runs pretty decent on here :)

Enjoy!

Have you ever considered Samsung optical drives? They have a better outer appearance IMO.

And that's a very nice rig I might add. Why did you go with the Chaintech motherboard?
