Upgrading from a 3870 crossfire setup

I'm looking to upgrade my current 3870 crossfire setup and would like some suggestions on what would be a worth while upgrade.

My monitor is a 22" Samsung Syncmaster T220 and I normally play at the native 1680 x 1050 res

any idea's (rig is in sig)

Well at that res I doubt you are going to run out of VRAM, so I would think 2X 4870 512 would be a steal. They can be had very cheap right now....

Hmmm...didnt see your PSU in your sig until now. Might want to stick with one 512/1GB and add another one later when you upgrade your PSU.

I was thinking about a going for a single card setup for now, my PSU is a bit of a sore point although it does perfectly fine for my current setup ddespite claims from other people that it would only last a short while....well it's been over a year now and it's still kicking.

I should add that the Q6600 is going to be replaced with a E8400 OC'd to around 4ghz shortly, i suspect that that will draw less power than my current nuclear power plant...oops Q6600....

At 16x10 you probably don't even need the 1GB version. Check the Hot Deals section, there's a 512MB 4870 at newegg for ~$165 after rebate.
