No such luck for a ASUS Xonar DS 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Audio Card I bought a couple months ago from Newegg, bear to make it work even in win764, and I have half a dozen issue items like it software and hardware.

? No problems with either DSX or STX in Win7 or Win8. You're doing something wrong. Try installing open source drivers?

Eh, you have win 8, just use it. You would have gotten used to it by now instead of bothering with a bunch of swap meets or shady websites. I ended up getting used to Win 8 within a week. Some of the Metro apps are pretty good, like the netflix one. Much snappier than the PS3 one I've been using. Plus task manager is better as well.

Windows 8.1 shows notes that they are working on providing better kb/m interfaces, so I'd wait for that.
