Upgrading from 6600GT

Planning on upgrading from a 6600GT. Should I go with the X1650 pro, or the 7800GSOC? I've been out of the hardware loop for a while, so if this seems like a stupid question...


EDIT: Forgot to mention this is for AGP. And no.. i'm not switching to PCI-E for quite a while.

To tell the truth, i'm not terribly worried about any kind of power consumption.
I have a decent PSU (PC Power TURBO-COOL 510 ASL), it's taken pretty much everything i've thrown at it.

2 7200 RPM SATA drives running RAID0, 4-80mm Thermaltake fans, a 120mm Delta, 6600GT w/copper Zalman. I'm sure i'm not even close to hitting the perverbial power ceiling on this unit.
 
there is a leadtek 7600GT AGP from newegg, but its pretty rare to see one. i would go with a 7800GS. X1650pro will give you similar performance to a 6600GT, if im not mistaken.

Generally, you pay a penalty in cost for sticking to AGP. There is a new X1950 Pro for AGP in the pipeline, but not yet in general availability; it will be the highest powered AGP you will be able to buy. The 7600 GT mentioned is extremely hard to find, even at above-MSRP costs.

 
If you can find a 7600GT AGP I suggest you go with that card, however if you can't find one the 7800GS is also a good choice. Its a hair faster then the GT at default speeds, but once overclocked it widens the gap.

The X1950 Pro AGP would be better then either one, but I've yet to see any kind of real availability.
