I have a customer where we are planning to upgrade PCs from 3400G to 5600G/5700G. Also we will be upgrading to Windows 11.
As we equipped PCs in 2020 with 16GB RAM (2X8GB 3200MHz) and big enough SSD, we only need to upgrade bios & change CPU.
I did a test upragde on one of the machines with 5600G and here are the results. I have attached MaxxMem2 screenshots below where you can see the setup & bios version. CPU cooler is Arctic Freezer 7 CO.
Summary:
Gaming / Graphics --> small improvement ~ 6% (superposition 1080p medium)
Office work & "snappiness" --> BIG improvement, ST ~ 55%, MT ~ 94% (Geekbench 5.4.6 Tryout)
Web browsing (also office work with we apps) --> BIG imporovement ~ 69% (Edge, Speedometer 2.1)
