Upgrading CPU

I'm upgrading to from a P4 2.4 to an AMD. I've already got the 7800GTX on the way (thanks to the great deal from Dell).

I could get a 3700 San Diego for like $325 from newegg. Or do I wait for the X2 3800 for $345 and get that instead? I just play games, but I'd hate myself down the line if I didn't wait those extra few weeks and spend that extra $20.

It could work out good seeing how my card doesnt ship til July 25th anyways.
 
Since the new x2 is supposed to be released on the 1st of august and your gpu ships a week before, then it might be worth waiting 'till then. If availability is good then go for it, if not then just buy a 3700 (you do plan to overclock, right?).
