Upgrading CPU...Please help!

Hey all,

Ok, I'm planning on buying a AMD Athlon "Barton" 2800+ in the next few days.

I currently have an EPOX 8RDA+ motherboard with an Athlon XP 2000+. Would I need to flash my BIOS before installing the new CPU? Or do you think it would recognize the CPU the way it is?
BIOS is dated 3-5-2003 according to my bootup screen.

Any advice would be great. 🙂
 
You might as well flash it to the newest one, just for any bugfixes/added features/cpu compatibility. Can't hurt anything (of course, unless your power goes out during the flash process lol).
