Upgrading CPU, GPU, MB need advice!

I'm in the process of upgrading my new system. I need to purchase a new cpu, mb, and gpu. This system is being used strickly for gaming. I expect to buy my new components on or after September 07 and price is no issue for me. I also want to be able to oc these components, so oc capabilities are important to me and the system must run on DDR2 not DDR3.

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R or P5K Vanilla or Abit I35-E
8800GTX or Ultra
2x1gb Crucial PC2-6400 DDR2-800

Something along those lines unless you have a tighter budget

hmmm well then...

I would go with the GA-P35-DS3R, but that is personal preference. The Abit IP35-E looks very good with the new bios update.

Definitely go for the Ultra and OC it.

QX6850 or E6850 for the CPU. Conversely if you don't mind ocing, get a Q6600 w/ Tuniq Tower, TR120 Ultra lapped or watercooling
