Check my sig. I'm gonna get the 2500 Barton and Thermalright slk900a. I also want to get 2 sticks of 512 mem. Whats the mem of choice these days. If its Corsiar 3200 please give me an exact p/n or even better a link to Newegg cause I see a lot of Corsair 3200's and I dont know which is the right one.

I plan on oc'ing a little. Nothing crazy.

I like gaming but only play Morrowind right now. It works fine. Want to play HL2 when it comes out so I'm holding off on vid card til then.

Newegg has 2 types of 3200 corsair if memory serves me correctly. However, they may also have these sold in different colors and such. Basically there are 2 differences that I am aware of in the XMS line (which is probably what you want for overclocking). There is a 3200 and a 3200LL (the LL is low latency). Basically these sticks are both gauranteed to run at 200mhz (400 DDR); however, the LL will run it with 2-2-2-6 timings and the regular 3200 runs at 2-3-3-8 if memory serves. Newegg has all this posted so you shouldn't have a problem figuring it out. I would just go for the plain 3200 if you aren't going to be really hard core. They also have matched packs, which IMHO isn't worth it unless you get it for exactly 2x the price. And there is also color variations... corsair comes with black or silver heatspreaders (but no change in the ram)... maybe some more colors also.

Basically... If I were you and was just going to try to reach 3200+ speeds (11x200 = 2200mhz or 3200+) with my barton, I would go to www.crucial.com and buy 2 sticks of 512 mb cas2.5 unbuffered pc3200 for 92.99 each w/ free shipping. They make great memory and you mise well save yourself the cash.
