My Friend Needs to upgrade PC
1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Primary
Maya ( Mental ray, Vray, Arnold Rendering ), Nuke, Mari, Photoshop, Zbrush
Secondary
Occasional Gaming
Games- Crysis 3, Hitman Series, Battlefield Series, & majority upcoming fps games

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
100K to 110K INR

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
India

4. IF you're buying parts OUTSIDE the US, please post a link to the vendor you'll be buying from.
We can't be expected to scour the internet on your behalf, chasing down deals in your specific country... Again, help us, help YOU.

5. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.
Not fanboy of anything but Preferred proccy is Xeon if budget allows it( equivalent of i7 4770 or stronger ) Since its best for heavy loads for long duration ( Correct me if im wrong ). if it is at all possible xeon + 980i ( since its very powerful & most efficient in power usage & probably good vfm choice ) will be much appreciated

6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
He have Core i7 2770, MSI Mobo ( Dead ), 16 GB Gskill Rpjaw DDr3 Ram, AMD 67** GPU, Corsair 650W PSU, NZXT Tempest Evo Cabinet, Thermalright venomous CPU Cooler so he only intend to buy Proccy, GPU, MObo ( Ram, PSU if current on is not enough or incompatible )

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
No OC never

8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using?
Already have one Dell U2715h gonna buy good 4k pro display next year ( Dual Monitor Setup )

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
This Month

10. Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software?
No

No, Xeon doesn't affect being "best for heavy loads for long duration". Xeon mainly affects certain "professional" features like ECC RAM support and VT-d. I don't see any that apply here.

16 GB Gskill Rpjaw DDr3 Ram
2x8 or 4x4? (Two sticks or four?)

I suspect that your CPU may be an i7 3770. We're only a couple of generations removed from that, and those generations haven't provided big improvements. I'd look for a, potentially used, H77 mobo, and stick with that CPU.

As for GPU, if you really use Maya a lot, I'd look for a Quadro K2200. As a gaming card it's basically an overpriced GTX 750 Ti. So it's not great - though it may be twice as good as your current card. What you're buying with that extra money is "professional" drivers that make the card work much better in a few applications like Maya.
