Upgrading comp, will windows still work right?

Hello

This upcoming weekend I plan on upgrading the computer from an athlon XP system to a new Athlon 64 dual core, I am going to reformat and re-install windows XP Professional. My question is before I even starty this process will I be able to use the same windows (aka-same key)? I will have a new mobo, and new CPU, but all else will be the same.

Thank you in advance

Eric

It will install ok but you will be breaking the license agreement. You will have 30 days to activate.

if it doesn't activate just call the 1 800 number and activate over the tele. i did the same thing with my winxp pro copy i've had since sp 1a and all i do is call up for the activation. you'll be fine keeping the copy you have.

Even if it is indeed a OEM copy?
