Have a Com21 Doxport 111 modem here; their firmware update page says:

The current firmware version for DOXport 101/111 is 1.7.6.

CABLE OPERATORS ONLY, please contact Com21 Technical Support to obtain the latest version of firmware for the DOXport 101/111.
email: support@com21.com

NOTE: Only cable operators can download firmware into the cable modems. End Users are NOT able to upgrade the firmware in their cable modem, nor do they have visibility into which version is currently running on their modem. End Users requests for cable modem firmware will not be responded to

So, how do I go about getting my firmware updated? Is there any way I can do it myself?

You can't do it your self, only your cable commpany can. As far as I know it's automatic.

Ok, so how do I get them to do it? Can they do it remotely, and also, is it free of charge?
