Upgrading Board & CPU (Asus A7n8x-e to MSI K8N Neo2 Socket 754)

Well as stated in the topic Im just upgrading my cpu to a socket 754 Athlkon 64 w/1mb L2 cache. When I upgrade can I just leave the install of windows? Or should I format it, the reason why I'm concerned is the chipset drivers and the raid controllers, sinec I run 2 WD Raptors in a SATA RAID to boot from. Should I be concered, what should I do? I would like to avoid reinstsalling windows as I have some sensitive data and I have not performed a full fledged backup on certain kinds of data, however I can live without it.
