Upgrading BIOS question

I'm thinking about upgrading the BIOS on my Soltek SL-75DRV5. I have upgraded the BIOS on other mobo's without any problems. I read in another forum that upgrading the BIOS will cause problems with Win XP. Can someone tell me if this is correct? Thanks in advance.

Well i updated my bios just yesterday on my ASUS A7A 133-PA and im running WinXP Pro. No problems whatsoever. My advice is go for it.

wouldn't think there would be a problem doing that. i've done it twice under xp and it's working like a charm.
