My sister recently got a new laptop as a college graduation gift, so right now I have her old Sony Vaio FX-210 from 2001.
2x128MB SDR PC100 ram, Mobile Duron 800mhz(64KB L2 cache!), 10GB ultra slow harddrive, Rage Mobility, and DVD drive that doesn't read DVD+RWs. Oh, and it uses the KT133A chipset.

Anyhow, I looked it up online, and it appears to be upgradable.
It currently has a 180nm Duron, which I think operates at 1.75V. I was wondering if it would be possible to drop in a mobile athlon xp 130nm which operates at 1.45V by default.
I want to replace the ram with 2x256MB PC133 ram(to support the faster fsb even just a little bit).
Wonder if there's an adapter to put my 200GB WD drive into the laptop....assuming it will fit, it is a pretty small drive though.
I also wouldn't mind finding an aftermarket laptop cooler, possibly with a more powerful fan, so I can take out the heavy heatsink in this one and replace it with something lighter.
