Hi, I'm also looking to upgrade the graphics card in my Media Center Edition 2004 computer. I currently have a 128MB Nvidia Geforce Fx 5200 AGP 8X graphics card with DVI, S-video out, and composite video out. The graphics quality is rather low for the current generation of games and I would like to upgrade but I'm not sure if I need to purchase a new TV tuner card as well. It also seems as if there may be a set of restrictions for Media Center computers when it comes to cards. If someone could point me to a FAQ or suggest a card in the $100 to $200 range that would be great.
Thanks.

6800GS i think is in that price range, 6600GT isnt too bad either..

maybe even a x1600xt for agp but that isnt price worthy

Thanks, BassBomb

I understand that I need a DVI, S-video out, and composite video out to have the same Media Center abilities. Do you guys know if having a TV tuner/PVR will limit my graphics cards options? Or can I just replace my graphics card and not worry about the two being compatible.

Thanks again

it really shouldnt limit your graphics choices.. my uncle made a media center pc.. but he went for really low end agp

started with a 9250 AGP but feared it would not be up to the coding tasks for long time .. especially being passive.. so he upped it to a 9550 and it runs strong there almost 24/7

his tuner card i do not know what it is ..

most 6600GT's come with a dongle with S video, RCA video, and component output

not to mention the dvi already and vga... mine has dual dvi, but in saying that im not sure if the 6600's come with similar bundle
