Upgrading a HP Pavilion x_X

Need to upgrade an only HP Pavilion without an AGP slot. Looking to keep this cheap as possible as this is for someone else and is only a short term solution until a real gaming system can be built from scratch. I'm usd to only building high end systems so I need some advice from the value end. Here are my thoughts:

Asus A7V8X-MX Micro ATX mainboard $56 @ Newegg
-replacing an i810G board with PC100 and no AGP slot. Havent been able to find info on the K400 chipsets vs the nforce2 chipsets, other than nforce 2 has better onboard video

Athlon Tbird 1333 $39 @ Newegg
-replacing a socket 370 celeron 800 Mhz.

256 MB PC2700 DDR $28 @ local macusa, er compusa
-replacing PC100 128 MB. cheap and generic, but still better than PC100 on 810

230 watt uATX power supply $16 @ Newegg
-cheap and no name, but the 100 watt factory supply isnt exactly name brand either

PNY GeForceFX 5200 AGP8x 128 MB, $59 @ compusa
-this is the deciding factor that tells me the differances between nforce2 and KM400 are nullified

Particularly I can't make up my mind with the mainboard. It must be microATX and within $50 price range, its not worth using a top of the line nForce2 board or anything like that.

Given this configuration, using dedicated video, will there be any differance between nForce2 or KM400?
