upgrading a friends old computer... what do you think of these new specs?

hi all,

a friend from woks wants to upgarde his old pentium 233mmx system and i have recommeneded the following.. now he is on a real tight budget (if it cost too much his wife won't agree to the upgrade) and he only needs a basic system, no hardcore gaming etc.... just something reliable to run win2k, office, mp3 the internet etc and some very basic games for his 7yo duaghter...

Hard drive 40Gb seagate
CPU AMD Duron 900Mhz
CPU fan/heat sink (socket A)
TNT2 M64 32Mb AGP
Case 300W ATX Midi
PS/2 Wheel Mouse
PS/2 keyboard

he will keep his 24x cd-rom, monitor, floppy, 56k modem and speakers.

anything i have missed?

For the most part, it looks good. I know that DDR prices are up a lot from few months back, but I would still highly recommend that you spring for a DDR system. I would also get him a different graphics card. You can pick up a GeForce 2 MX 200 for next to nothing these days. I would also opt for a usb optical mouse. It is like night and day difference.

You can pick up a Radeon 32 DDR for less than a TNT2 in many cases...
