Upgrading a Dell XPS 400

Came with a Radieon 300 pci-e card and I would like to go with something that would be vista good . This pc has a 2.8 dual cpu and 2 gigs of ram . I am looking at 1900xt . Mostly use this for business apps,and games like MS Train sim,plane sim , ect . I am running XPsp2 now , but I am looking to go vista when its sp1 arrives. I have no knowledge of vid cards other than their price .

X1900XT might be a little overkill for your usage.

X1900GT would probably do.

Thanks for the reply,I guess I should hve added that around $200 was my budget.

Well, if you dont have to, I wouldnt spend the entire $200. You can get a much cheaper card that will do what you want it to for $120-$150.

If this is like a once in a great while upgrade, then a X1900XT will be fine.

Wait for the Nvidia Midrange release in a few weeks perhaps? A 8600GT/GTS would be a nice upgrade for your situation.
