Upgrades........ Opinions pls

XP 2000 + ( 180 FSB, 10 Multi )
512 PC 3200 Samsung
Abit KX-7 333
Geforce 4 4400

I recently picked up the Leadtek 2000 Deluxe ... and I am really wanting a dual Cpu machine. One cpu is not enough for recording/watching TV and running Seti at the same time and browsing the internet also. ( running dual monitors ). Plus @ 1600X1200, UT 2003 with highest details is not playable.

I am not upgrading soon as you can see I still have to wait for the Barton and Geforce FX

So

Nforce 2 board or Epox KT400

or

3.0ghz HT PIV
2 256 Cosair PC 3500 or maybe 3200
Geforce FX

That looks like a nice rig...its close to mine but you have a better video card and ram.

What sort of score do you get with 3D mark?

Though that is an older benchmark, as now i am running 180 FSB and 40.72 dets...

I was around 100 FPS IN Nature ... :Q Avging around 75 though :Q

Hmm, I really dont like MadOnions or 3dMarks benchmarks. Someone can go into the reasons why they arent that great. You could wait for a while for the KT400A boards to come out and the GeForce FX 5800 Ultra. The Thoroughbred C cores should also be out by this time too.
