Upgraded to XP, my sound is better?

The XP driver for the creative SB live are better somehow than the 98se ones? Everything has cleared up a bit, and there is more pronounced midrange. The bass response is a littlbe better too. I also get better l/r separation. I have an SB live platinum btw, using the latest creative XP drivers. Anyone expereince the same thing?
