Just upgraded to a MS Starforce 816 and detonator 3 6.18 from a TNT2 M64, and i noticed that win98 took longer to boot up. Another bad thing is that most of the time, not all the time, during shutdown, the screen just went blank with cursor on top, and had to reset and shut the machine manually. Anyone?
TQ

Did you uninstall the TNT2 drivers first, make sure they are removed, especially if you are going from brand drivers like ASUS etc to Nvidia reference drivers, you could try different Nvidia reference drivers from here

Try using the detonator 2 drivers..detonator 3 are giving some people headaches..some compatability problems apparently.

Thank u for the tips. i will try using detonator 2 and keep u posted on the progress. but detonator 3 enables the twinview which i have yet to try actually, since my TV is like 2 meters away and i am too weak(lazy)to pick em up and bring it closer to my PC

Hello
I have a BXMaster and GeForce 2 MX too, but i have another problem. I can boot and win98se start normally, but all work till i run anything 3D. In 3D are flashing crazy polygons and PC will lock up after a half of hour. I tried to use detonators 5.32, 6.18, 6.26 ad 6.27 and nothing works. If your GF 2 MX is now working on BXMaster please send me your BIOS settings.

My MX is working perfectly in 3D, the only problem i notice is the slow bootup time and the random incomplete shutdown. Dunno if it was the MX , the detonator or something that i tweaked and forget?
I would love to help u out but not sure what is the problem here.
Have u tried dxdiag? try running the tests? try different games?
What type of video card were u using previously? Did u uninstall the drivers first before installing detonators? Try using Nvidia detonators 2 or 3 and not leaked ones?
Are u overclocking? try not to and see how it goes?
Give us some more details? what MX? Try contacting the manufacturer? Maybe the card is defective? contact the games developer? Some would help out in identifying the problem?
Do u have Sandra? or other utilities to see how is the MX. Hope somebody else notice this post and reply to help u out.

My MX is pure noname (but has a small fan on heatsink). I think that problem is with mainboard, because i am not alone and other GeForce DDR is working properly on such PC. Drivers are installed correctly.
I had chipset voltage on 3,6V and in 3D MX freeze PC and win restart only after third CtrlAltDelete. On 3,6V it works only with AGP off (or AGP aperture size 4 or 8MB) but correctly (i think). On 3,3V it works with AGP on (agp aperture size 128 or 256MB) but wrong.
I do not know where is the problem :( Microstar emailed to one person that problem is on 99% in BIOS (maybe in ATA66 bios).

I do not really understand your last post here. Have u tried any of my suggestions? Can't help u much unless u do some testing on your own. Since u wanted my BIOS settings, let me see if i can remember, i am writing this mail from my office PC and not my BX machine back home
My AGP aperture is set to 64, i can set it higher with no difference, never tried to set it lower though?
I hope that u enable assign IRQ to the AGP? What 3D card u were using before the upgrade?
I never changed any voltage settings other than the P!!!550E@600 CPU (now is 1.6V, can go to 700Mhz at 1.6V, but not 733 at higher voltage maybe its my PC100RAM).
Noname MX card? why don't u just return it to the store and let them test the card if it is working. I hope u did not steal it from somewhere! no offense. Glad to help if u could give some more info on your setup! Hope your card works, i am getting double score in 3Dmark with normal clock 175/166 after the upgrade from a TNT2 M64 (2500+ to 5000+ points) And this card can overclock real high too!
