Hey all, just wanted to share that i upgraded from 4gb of RAM to 8gb of RAM and all the stuttering disappeared in Battlefield 3 even @ Ultra settings!!!!(but no AA). Crysis 2 also had any stuttering disappear! The FPS remained the same, but any pauses or stutters are gone! specs in my sig.

I was shocked cause everywhere i read 8gb RAM wouldn't do anything for gaming.:p It's such a cheap upgrade, only cost me $20 for the extra 4gb of RAM. Really recommend it as a cheap way to get a nice performance increase in the newest games!

Well...maybe cheap for you. :p

I've been wanting to upgrade RAM a bit, but I'd have to spend 3x what you did. I know Crysis 1 was crashing in the biosuit battle because I was running out of memory.

I agree... I've upgraded to 8GB and same result - but I paid $90 for an extra 4GB of ram - but at least they're CAS 7:cool:... never looked back since...

I remember paying $150 for 6gb back when I got my 920 system. Im kinda surprised how quickly it got so cheap.

Picked up 16 gigs for $60 for my new build it really is shocking how cheap ram has got. I had to RMA some of my old DDR 2 sticks, paid $40 for 2 gigs, 3.5 years ago.

He has DDR2-1066, not DDR3. Another 4GB is $60+...

You got it. My choice would be the GSkill since it's closest to my current RAM spec...it's not prohibitively expensive but I have other priorities. Would've loved to get another 4GB of my Patriot RAM but I never saw that sold for less than $85 before they EOLed them. I'd love to have DDR3 pricing. :p
