I just purchased an Antec Truepower 430W power supply. I'm using PCAlert 4 software to monitor my voltages and temperatures.
The +12V is running at a (nearly) consistent 11.64V. Likewise, the 3.3V is at 3.25V. And the +5V is running at 4.95V. Do these seem a little bit low, or is this normal?
The only equipment so far are as follows:
- MSI KT4 Ultra-SR
- Maxtor D740X 60GB
- Zip 250 Internal EIDE
- 1.44 Floppy
- Pioneer DVD-ROM
- Yamaha CD-RW
- 2 x 80mm Panaflo low-speed rear exhaust fans
I wouldn't think that would push the power supply very much at all.
One thing I'm noticing, games seem to freeze more often now. This didn't happen as often on the old power supply.
Would the power supply be the culprit here? I didn't change anything else in the meantime...
