Upgraded PC sound

So, I was using a Logitech G35 headset for gaming and occasional music and movies. I upgraded to a SoundBlaster ZxR and a set of Beyerdynamic DT 770's in 80 ohm. Holy CRAP! I didn't know how bad those Logitechs actually sucked.
The question is, am I getting the most out of them from the sound card? Or would it be noticeably better with a dedicated headphone amp? I mean it sounds good now, but you know...

You can neve have enough amplification :whiste:

Have you tried plugging your headphones into your mb souncard ad see how it fares?

I don’t know anything about the sb headphone amp, so I can’t tell you for sure if it will sound better with a dedicated heahphone amp. But 80ohm cans do benefit from more current in general.
