I upgraded from a AXP 3000+ 167Mhz FSB to a A64 3500+ 200Mhz FSB. I also upgraded my video card and motherboard. I have NOT my upgraded my RAM which is 512 PC2700 333Mhz. So right now I my CPU is at 200Mhz and my RAM at 167Mhz. Is this what is causing my computer to be slower? Battlefield 2 and stuff loaded faster on my old 5200FX and AXP 3000+! Can I loosen the timming and make the RAM 200Mhz? Whats going on?

Let be the first to say: UPGRADE YOUR RAM!!! You are rediculous for having the kind of system you have, and using PC2700 RAM, only 512MB of it to boot.

The only thing I can think of is maybe you've upped the graphics options, which would mean loading high-res files into memory. The more stuff you've allowed to go on screen means larger files to do that stuff.

Also, just because you've upped the processor doesn't mean your hard drive gets any faster.

I agree with the above poster. Are you nuts with 512 of PC2700 with the rest of that system? Go get yourself a 2 gig kit of pc3200 and then play bf2.
