Recently bought a used Armada M300. Initially, I had Windows 2000 Pro on it. I bought a Netgear MR814 (b) router and MA521 (b) PCI card. When on 2000, I simply installed the drivers on the lappy, popped in the card and had no problems right out of the gate. I upgraded the laptop to XP Pro today (after formatting) and followed same steps. Put in the CD, the driver utility cranked up and everything installed properly. I popped in the card but the laptop didn't even recognize it...never got a "found new hardware" message either. Right now, the power light is on but the "link" light is off. And if I go into my program files and try to click on the MA521 Configuration Utility, it won't even open up. I didn't do anything differently than when I installed it on W2000 so I have no idea what the problem is.

Any ideas??

Edited to note that when checking the device manager, my Netgear card isn't even showing up under the network adapters. So apparently, XP is not even recognizing the card. Drivers are installed and apparently working fine but according to XP, the card doesn't exist. ??????????

Nevermind...figured it out.

Was a driver issue for the ethernet. Not exactly what I did to fix it but I did.
