Upgraded from 6.6 to 6.9 CATs, but...

What's up with that? Is it doing this to anyone else? I've got an X1900AIW, and had no trouble setting my D3D AF settings to Quality with full trilinear on the 6.6 set. Right now it's stuck on just "Quality", even when I turn CAT A.I. off.

I guess it's not that big of a deal, since the majority of my games have an in game option to select full trilinear, but I was just curious.

Sorry, this is with ATT, and I CAN use HQ AF :)

Hmm....maybe I'll just stick with 6.6 a little longer.

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled?

Are you using ATT or CCC. ATT should let you set it to full trilinear anyways. But I'm still using 6.2 cats, because 6.8 gave me lockups and craches, not to mention lower 3dmock scores.

I'm sticking with these too until an official driver which enables HDR + AA is released because they don't give me any problems... I never upgrade video drivers without a good reason.

Josh: No, I haven't tried uninstalling and reinstalling them. I'm pretty sure that won't help, since I know I've installed them correctly.

Munky: I'm using ATT. That's where full trilinear is greyed out. However, it does let me select HQ AF, which I'm using. I just found it odd, since when I was using the 6.6 CATs with ATT, the quality options were NOT greyed out, so I could choose Quality trilinear AND HQ AF. Now I can simply only choose HQ AF, and am assuming/hoping that the setting automatically runs me at the highest AF quality.

Sorry, I should have been a bit more specific in my OP. It merely leaves the quality selection greyed out (defaulted at regular quality, not quality trilinear) but still lets me choose HQ AF. I have been doing some gaming, and the AF seems to be at full trilinear HQ. I just find it odd that I can't choose between Performance, Quality, and Quality Trilinear, but I can pick HQ.

Have you updated to the latest version of ATT? It could be that ATi have changed the registry key for that setting.

Also FYI if you use CCC it automatically enables full trilinear as its default setting.

What I did was download the bare driver, install it, and then grabbed the newest version of ATT that I could find. It's v1.2.6.930, and seems to be the newest, since it allows me to change voltage and overclock on my AIW now.

Here, let me get a picture up. One sec.

Like I said, no biggie, since it appears to be working in full tri, I just thought that was odd. I'd use the CCC, but I can't be bothered to install .NET :)
