I just upgraded my motherboard, CPU and RAM (but kept everything else from
my old system). Here are my current specs:

ABIT BX-133 RAID motherboard
P3-850 (retail / malaysia)
3 x 128 megs PC-133 RAM
64 meg GeForce GTS2
S3/Diamond MX300 audio
Fireport 40
IDE dvd rom
3 IDE hard drives

i'll get some weird error message towards the end of installing win98. when
i installed win2k pro instead, i can successfully install the OS, but then
i'll constantly get random reboots. i've tried two different CPUs and two
power supplies and i still can't get it to run stably without rebooting
after a few minutes. i'm not making any attempt to overclock it....it's not
even stable at 8.5 x 100mhz. i tried bumping up the voltage but that didn't
have any effect either. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried reseating ALL of your components and cables?

Try using only 1 stick of memory in dimm socket 1

several times. also tried leaving the cdrom/dvdrom/burner unplugged, as well as two of the hard drives. powered up with only the video card and the primary hard drive and still got the random reboots.
