upgradeable mobile video cards?

I've got an ati igp340 chip in my notebok, and I read somewhere that I can upgrade to a radeon chip. ANyone have any experience with this?

I believe all the IGPs are integrated onto the motherboard, so no I don't think you can upgrade.
Specific make/model of the laptop would be useful in determining this for a fact though.

The quote off the ATI website refers to the new IGP package, the RADEON 7000 IGP. It seems that this is actually a complete chipset for motherboards. see the references to support for DDR 333, FSB speeds, and support for both Pentium-M and Pentium 4M
