I´m planning to buy a kt133a board (probably the msi k7t turbo) soon and I´ll team it up with a 900 mhz tbird.

What I´d like to know is if these boards are going to support the higher clocked processors of the future (past the 1.5 ghz mark) or if there are going to be any special requirements that the boards won´t meet.

A k7tpro2 would be more than enough for me and the 900 tbird performancewise right now and I don´t want to buy a more expensive board now just to find out that I have to upgrade the mobo again for a future processor

thanx for any advice on this matter:)

The 1.5ghz issue is related to the pwoer requirements for these cpus. AMD released a revised spec for 1.5gig which specs 46amps. Some early 133a mobos just can't handle this. OCworkbench has a review posted of the new Gigabyte 133A mobo, almost identical specs to the K7T Turbo but is has six big fat MOSFETS for power regulation and it is spec'ed for 1.5gig plus.
