upgrade x800xl now to x1800xt or wait for DX10?

Hi gang, I currently have a x800xl now. I do not game all that much, although I would like to get into Oblivion sometime. I'm seeing the x1800Xt 512 meg card come down to $240 or so now after rebate. I think I could sell the x800xl for a decent price now and maybe only come out of pocket $100 for the new card.

I origianally wanted to just wait for a DX10 card to run vista properly, but I'm wondering if it makes sense to sell the x800xl now and upgrade, just so I can still sell it for a reasonable ammount now, or just wait to sell it for a DX10 card later this year?

It'd be maybe $100 to upgrade now, and then sell the x1800xt later, and buy a new card. Or wait, get small ammount of $$ for the x800xl in Dec. and just to straight to DX10 card.

What do you think?

$100 more for an X800XL -> X1800XT? No doubt about it I'd do it.

If you can sell X800XL for $140 and get X1800XT for $240, that's 2x performance increase for $100. Now you decide if that's a sweet bang for the buck Plus X1800 can easily run vista since aeroglass interface needs DX9.
