upgrade x700 pro or not?

My x700 pro (pci e) just died on me and now im wondering if i should take the opportunity to upgrade. The options I have are a: get a replacement under warranty and use that or...b: take the replacement card, try to sell it then upgrade. I wouldnt really want to spend more than $150-175 if I do upgrade. So should I just stick with the x700 pro or upgrade, and if so to what in that price range? Thanks in advance.

and btw my vid card at this point is my system bottleneck:
x2 3800
MSI k8n-9
2GB Corsair VS
x700 pro
antec SP 400W
 
Considering the rest of your system, I think it's time to upgrade.

Take the replacement, sell it. Get yourself a nice 7600gt.
 
SInce you're already on pci-e, you have some nice upgrade options. A 7600gt like this one goes for ~$150, and would be 2x as fast as your x700pro. Also, you could get an even cheaper x850xt here, which would also be 2x as fast as your old card.
