Now, which components in my box need to be upgraded?

Intel P4 3.06 GHz 533 mhz fsb
Intel D875PBZ
2x 512 mb PC3200 Corsair XMS (currently @ 333 MHz) <------- no fvcking OCing w/ intel
200 GB Maxtor Diamond Max Plus 9
eVga 5900 ultra
sound blaster audigy 2
dvd/cdrw

I'd just change the motherboard to maybe an Asus P4C800, or gigabyte 8IK1100 so you can do some overclocking and at least use the full potential of your RAM. Could also maybe change the 3.06 for a P4c 3.0. Could always sell the 5900 ultra and trade it in on a 6800GT or 6800 Ultra. Other than the Intel motheboard and the hard drive, our systems are pretty close to eachother. I am going through upgrade withdrawls myself, think I am gonna trade my 5900 Ultra for a 6800GT.
 
Talk about withdrawls. I bought a house a few months ago. I no longer have the extra money that I used to spend on computer stuff. What a drag.
 
no matter what you are doing: gaming, encoding etc. nothing needs to be upgraded. if you WANT to upgrade i would go for the new mobo
