Upgrade WinXP Home to XP Pro

I currently have WinXP Home edition running on my pc. Can I buy the Pro version and just do an upgrade so that I do not have to reinstall everyhting?

i just upgraded my new dell 4500 from home to pro last night. just put the pro disk in and it will give you the choice of upgrading (keep all your settings) or to install it from scratch. piece of cake.
