You can't upgrade Windows 4.0 Server to WIndows 2000 Professional if that's your plan... you can upgrade to Windows 2000 Server.

I upgraded my home PC from Windows NT 4.0 Workstation to Windows 2000 Professional and it lasted for 1.5 months before it crap out (my NT 4.0 was stable for 2 years). Then I upgraded my work PC from Win98SE to Windows 2000 Professional.. lasted 1 month. In other word, don't upgrade... start fresh even though it's a pain in the ass.

I have upgraded many Windows NT 4 machines to Windows 2000. This includes Workstation to Professional and NT 4 Server to Windows 2000 Server/Advanced Server. I have had little issues.

But if you are going to make the transition to Windows 2000 Server, make sure that you have a good, reliable backup of your existing machine first before you even insert the CD.

kadium, you can get a copy from any local computer store. =P
It's not free, it's a reduce price but not free.
