"upgrade" vista to xp?

WinXP Home Ed. Upgrade is not recognizing my Vista install as an upgradeable previous Windows OS. is there any way of fooling it so it does install? or am i just gonna hafta get a full version of XP.

Vista is not playing nice with my old games, that's why I wanna go back to XP. i'm on a Mac mini dual booting Vista with Boot Camp.

 
XP home from Vista is technically a downgrade. You need to find an old Win2k, 98 or ME disc to insert as qualifying media during the install process or you need to get a full retail or OEM version of XP.
