Does anyone know how to upgrade the video adapter for the Toshiba A15 S129 laptop?
It is currently some sort of Intel adapter.
Is it integrated to the laptop mobo? or can it be pulled out and upgraded to a more powerful ATI or nVidia adapter?

Thanks.

G unless I am wrong which i harldey ever am. LOL JK. That is a no. They are just comming out with upgradeable Vid on lappys. Dell was the first i know of to in their small way offer this option. But with the dell way you can only upgrade with them once and i don't know all the info on how that works. I have been reading lots on it and there is alot of talk on this fourm about it. Right now the major prob with it if you ask me is price. Everybody wants to beable to upgrade but the cost will be through the roof for a while. Kinda like the WD Raptor drives.

Nearly all GPUs are integrated directly into notebook boards by design. In your specific case, the machine makes use of the Intel 852GM graphics chipset, which does not have its own discreet memory (shares 32 MB from total system ram).

In short, no. In the coming months, PCI Express will offer this functionality to notebooks, but that will of course entail you purchasing a new machine.
