Upgrade? Upgrade to what?

A month or two ago I built a pc for my brother using the Soyo Dragon Plus and DDRAM2100.
Now it's time to build my own and I don't see any reason to not repeat that build.
Wait for more ATA, USB 2.0, DDR333, Thoroughbred? Well... hohum.
If I wait long I'm sure I can get something new and cool, but how long?

well the latest kt333 boards seem to all have usb 2.0 and stuff
i would get either a kt266a board or a kt333 board
and then an athlon xp1800 anything higher and the heat isn't worth it
if you are gonna do overclocking and plan to unlock it get a real good heatsink
the asus a7v333 has COP or cpu overheat protection which is always nice
the abit board is completely legacy free and has a lot of raid stuff so if you needed a grip of storage that board looks nice
any of these newer boards will support the T-bred they all use the same socket 462
so you can always upgrade later (maybe even barton)
then you can also get either pc2100 or pc2700 depending on what you wanna spend n stuff

I'd go with the ASUS A7V333 or with
MSI or EPOX if you want a cheaper mobo.

Abit AT7 - too much pricey and still no review on it.
Soyo Dragon - That's an expenssive one too
