upgrade... tough questions

I am going to upgrade my CPU/motherboard/Ram to the new intel x6800 or 6700 and, for the ram, probally OCZ plat rev 2 (800) 6400

What cpu/mb/ram would you recommend I get (i am open to any changes recommendations). I have up to $1500 to spend on the upgrade and reall do NOT do much, if any oc.

The problem is that my current system I have 2 nvidia 7800 gtx in sli. SOOOO, my second question is should I stay with an sli motherboard and keep the video cards or sell them off, and swtich to a crossfire or different type of mb?

Any thoughts/comments would be greatly appreciated.

my biased opinion...wait for the nvidia 500 chipset solutions (about 2+ weeks away)...and choose asus.

if you choose asus --ocz ddr2 800 ram may be an issue. I do not know if there is good ocz ram to pick for them.
