currently, i have an sb live! value, and cambridge soundworks 4-point surround speakers. if i upgrade to the logitech z-560's, will i notice any major change in the sound? (i mostly play games and listen to music)
I run z560's on an sb live value...For gaming they're very nice, but for music some people rant on about how inaccurate that bass and mids are. Unless you are a music buff or have very sensitive ears, music will sound fine on them as well. I'm not sure about your current set though, they may perform just as well as the z560s.
I have an SB Live! 5.1. I used to have Creative FPS1000 speakers before I got my Logitech Z560 speakers. The Z560s are A LOT better.
Now I reread and see that you are mostly playing games and listening to music. There is a significant improvement in music. I don't play games on my computer so I can't say the same for that. I do notice a huge improvement in movies though. Be sure to turn on Movie Mode in your Creative Mixer.
i'm running off of an audigy, probably around the same as sb live, and the z560's and they sound great.
i'm not an audiophile, but i think the music sounds just fine and movies do too.
just deals has them for $99 today after some coupon
I've got a SBlive with z-560's, turns out that apparently I like inaccurate bass and mids and they even sound good to me before and after they were "exposed" to be not a full 400watts RMS. So don't listen to me............been using them since the Dell deal back when they came out.
