Upgrade to Z-5500s from X-530s?

I currently have Logitech X-530s and an Audigy 2 ZS. if I get the Z5500s, will I notice a big improvement over my Logitech X-530s? What's better about these speakers? 70W vs 500W. Big ass subwoofer that can knock pictures off a wall. But does it sound better, richer, etc...?

Or should I save the money and get that Cowon iAudio X5 I've been wanting for the longest?

They sound awesome!

It's kinda hard to configure the sound card properly to get the right decoding for movies and games, but it works.

If you think you can afford it, go ahead!

klipsch. its not just bigger, its more accurate. small is just a thud instead of a note. x530's aren't exactly premium speakers u know

even though they're not the greatest speakers (X-530's), i also have them and they're not that bad.

however, if i was going to buy new speakers i wouldnt step up to the Z-5500's, i'd step up to a Klipsch 5.1 system like others have recommended.

x530's are some pretty damn good speakers for the price. paid 60$ shipped off new age about 2-3 years ago.

I went from the identical sound setup to an x-fi xtreme music with z-5500s and it was worth every penny.

klipsch are nice too, however I think they are more money

Well, the Klipsch are about $100 more and I've been reading a lot of complaints about the amps dying. Bottom line is, Both the Z-5500s and the Klipsch will sound better than my current setup, but the Logitech offers better bang for your buck (plus they look cooler, too :D ). Also, the remote will come in handy. Oh, and I hear Logitech's support is amazing, so yeah, I think I'll go with the Logitechs. Thanks.

go for it, my friend has the z5500s with his audigy2 ZS and it sounds amazing.

I want some, but all I got is onboard sound and the Z2200s :(

If anyone cares, lol, I got the speakers, and there's a noticeable difference. The music sounds clearer, and the sub rattles just about everything in my room. :D

Yea, you should definitely consider it if you have a good sound card. The bass sounds fuller, the music crisper. I can hear little details in my music I couldn't hear before. $250 well spent.

Dang, my sub cost me $600+ and it doesn't rattle a damn thing.

i'd upgrade from your x530's to something besides logitech. they're speakers have no midrange and their subwoofers are too boomy. klipsche speakers are better in sound quality and have a bigger frequency range. subwoofer not as boomy but equally powerful when called for. i made a mistake in buying logitech.
