upgrade to WinXP questions

Hey guys, I am going to upgrade to WinXP Pro today, from Win2k.....

In the past I have always done full installs, but I have read that XP has some new features that make upgrading easier..I would prefer to to an upgrade so I don't have to re-install Office XP and all my other programs....has anyone had success upgrading Win2k to WinXP pro?


Anything else I need to know?

Well my wife's nephew upgraded his Dell 700 p3 to WinXP Pro 2 weeks ago and he loves it.
He said the upgrade was painless and that the only big problem was that he has 2 LPT ports.
1 on the MB and 1 on an ISA card (for printer and fax) and that XP won't recognize the ISA
LPT. (He's gonna get a PCI LPT card.) I've heard others that have had problems with ISA
cards...............

My wife's ISA modem works fine. Just need the right drivers I guess.

it will take along time, i have done this to several computers, no problems on install, just take along time 3+ hours on one computer
