I am upgrading to win 2k (fresh install) next weekend.
I want to know if there is anything i should be aware of.

System Specs:
Abit BX6 rev. 2
P3 700E
128MB RAM
Adaptec Aha 2940 U2W controller
IBM U2W drives 4+9gb
Plextor Ultraplex 40 cdrom
soundplaster live value
intel pro100+ nic
v3 2000 pci

Go to Win2k support website and check to see if all your hardware is supported... if they are not, check the manufacturer's website to see if the latest win2k drivers are avaliable... if so, download them and keep them handy, cuz you'll need them...

Other than that, I see no problems... Good Luck and enjoy win2k! It's great!

Extraxt your controller drivers onto a floppy. Then you need to Press F6 at the beginning of setup... it says Press F6 to install SCSI/RAID drivers on the bottom of the screen. Then proced to install your controller drivers.

I don't expect problems with the listed hardware. Make sure all your external hardware (printer, scanner, game controllers, etc) are supported.
