I just upgraded my drivers for BF2 to the 77.30's and now when i try to watch videos using Quicktime/WMP/Anything, my CPU usage jumps up to 100% and my computer basically freezes. tried upgrading to the 77.72's but that doesn't help either. anyone got any suggestions on why it's doing this?

Is it possible to check you GPU temps? This release and the release previous have a bug that increases your GPU temps. They haven't fixed it yet.

Are you installing and uninstalling these drivers properly? The 77.30 drivers were beta and hence may be unstable. If you didn't use a program like driver cleaner to delete the old files left over from the 77.30 drivers, they may inflict performance issues with the 77.72 (non-beta drivers).

Edit: Have you tried reinstalling your video players? It may work.

Also, I've had no problems with the new 77.72 drivers on my 6600GT.

in the nvidia control panel go to the color correction tab, set color profile to advanced mode, select apply color profile changes to "ALL". Hit Apply and your done!

I got that from another thread. Try that, it fixed my issue. Now you should be able to watch your porn fine ;)

edit-- I dont know if it's the same solution, but my cpu usage went down for some weird reason after doing that
