What are you using your computer for?

You don't have to buy an identical module to pair with the first, but if you want to keep things as uncomplicated as possible, it's best to get identical modules.

Going for higher speed RAM for gaming looks pointless:

Dual channel appears to be worthwhile though.
Obviously higher speed ram helps alot. Get what you can afford 2x8 3600 are on sale for 75$ often. Save the 8gb for backup or sell it.

Heads up since you have a ryzen 2600 you may have trouble running them at that speed, depending on how strong the IMC in your chip is, and what motherboard you have as well.

If you have an A320 board, you may not even be able to change the frequency on the memory to get those higher speeds, though I am not sure.

Specifications for the Gigabyte board say that it supports up to 3200 MHz. But even if you get 3600 MHz RAM, you can run it at tighter timings, or they can useful for future compatibility/speed if you plan to upgrade your motherboard and CPU to a series 3000 or 4000 series.
