Ok, I have been very tempted as of late to upgrade (Mother board broke in accident). I have a barton 2500+ but I am thinking of going to a 3500+ 64 newcastle (939 pin version) Is this a smart idea, or should I wait and get a new mb for the 2500+ (which I believe is still good).
 
Probably the smartest move would be to wait and save for a socket 939 upgrade when prices come down some more, as they probably will in about 6 months. That's my plan. Amd may also release some slower versions of 939 soon.
